Location: Anglicare SQ - Symes Thorpe Residential Aged Care - Toowoomba, QLD

About the Position

Located in the scenic district of Rangeville in Toowoomba, Symes Thorpe offers an open environment with a number of smaller houses, grouped into three areas of support including 24- nursing & care services, dementia support and respite. The facility is fully accredited. Symes Thorpe boasts a full commercial kitchen, providing freshly prepared meals and catering for special dietary needs.

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse with management experience to join our team as a full time Care Coordinator, providing clinical leadership in partnership with the Facility Manager and actively contributing to an environment of hope and wellbeing for residents. The role will ensure that all residents receive high quality clinical care that meets their specific needs.

 

About You

With an extensive background in Aged Care clinical management, your skills, experience and attributes will include:

  • Management and leadership including education and continuous improvement practices
  • Working within client-centric care frameworks including demonstrated experience in evaluation of aged care residents with mental health and behavioural issues
  • Working knowledge of accreditation standards and ACFI
  • Enthusiastic and compassionate attitude and a drive to succeed
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven background and current knowledge working with clinical staff within the Aged Care sector
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; funding and budget principles

Along with your practical experience, you will also bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Nursing, with current APHRA registration
  • Post-graduate qualification in a related field (preferred)
  • A current National Police Certificate
