Anglicare SQ have been providing support and care to members of the community for over 140 years and every day our passionate staff and volunteers respond to growing demand for our services.  Our Residential Aged Care facilities go to great lengths to make sure our residents are feel at home, valued and respected.  We encourage and enable independence while providing quality care.  A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an ACFI Manager to join our leadership team, providing systems and process management to maximise and maintain aged care funding claims. This full time position reports to the Group Manager - Residential Aged Care and Retirement Villages and is based in Brisbane’s CBD.

The ACFI Manager is responsible for coaching and education across the Group, and will monitor and provide feedback on performance, industry trends, government changes and business rules.

 

About You

An experienced Registered Nurse, you will have spent several years in the Aged Care sector at a leadership level and offer the following skills:

  • Advanced level knowledge and understanding of ACFI and other aged care funding
  • Proven ability to monitor and report accurately on claims performance, identifying and actioning areas for improvement
  • Ability to maximise funding uplift through appraisal of resident requirements, working within funding guidelines and business rules
  • Training and educating staff to ensure knowledge is current and facilities are working within legislative requirements
  • Providing reports and feedback to the Group Manager via internal audits and industry benchmarks

Your exceptional organisation and time-management capabilities will be coupled with:

  • Financial acumen and a solid understanding of funding claims
  • Analytical thinking, problem solving and solutions provision
  • Written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to relate information effectively to your target audience
  • Networking and facilitation of adult groups, including training sessions
  • Self-management and the ability to priortise your own workload, while working within a team environment

Along with a degree in Nursing, you will hold current registration with AHPRA, a National Police Certificate and current Queensland Driver Licence.  A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment would be beneficial and it is essential that you are able to travel throughout the service area.
